The ACI Strategic Development Council fall session will include updates on a) the concrete industry’s pursuit of research funding and standards development through interface with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Energy and National Institute of Standards & Technology; b) nanotechnology applications in concrete; c) ACI response to the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed rule on coal combustion residuals, including fly ash; and, d) progress on a roadmap for integration of concrete design and construction into Building Information Modeling 3-D platforms. Scheduled October 7Ò8 at the Inn at St. John’s Hotel, Plymouth, Mich., the session will also feature technology showcases of innovative products and systems.
